WHAT OUR MEMBERS SAY

“I am in awe of your committee’s ability to present such a variety of informative and thought provoking programs surrounding women’s issues every month. The quality of your speakers and their depth of knowledge is always so impressive…. The social interaction with other members whether it is at the United Nations or the various UN Missions is also a treat .”

Valerie Kennedy

“WIF has been a wonderful forum for elucidating problems and their solutions. When Lu Hailin, a remarkable woman, was it’s president, I officially joined though I had been to many previous meetings. How beautiful that WIF gave a global example of women’s strength in unity. This also reaches each of us. From the professional to the personal, female wisdom is insightful, empowering and needed now more than ever.”

Miriam Belov

“For me the audience is just as important as the speakers. It enables me to be with such an interesting community of friends and to share perspectives and thoughts…maybe even put a different lens on an issue.  And often the speaker is a reality check…for me as an American…important!

And being in the UN Building and seeing other Embassies and offices is a privilege. Your hospitality is amazing.

Missie Rennie

“Without WIF, the likelihood of my meeting these ladies, these families was slight. I came from a different world, a different culture. I was old New York. My family came here in 1605 with a land grant from the King of England. Other direct ancestors came on the Mayflower. Old New York served Ritz crackers and boring homespun tales. The international community served savories and life.”
