Bringing together an inspiring panel of global women leaders, this discussion was more than just a reflection—it was a dynamic exchange of personal experiences, challenges, and solutions from women who have navigated the complexities of leadership.

"Empowering Youth for Climate Action – From Local Initiatives to Global Impact"

10 FEBRUARY 2025: An inspiring discussion with Dr. Felipe Paullier, Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, sharing the incredible work of the UN Youth Office in ensuring that young voices are heard at the highest levels of decision-making. He highlighted how youth-led initiatives are shaping global conversations on climate change, including at the Summit of the Future. Dr. Paullier reminded us that intergenerational solidarity is essential to tackling the climate crisis, urging us to ensure that young voices are genuinely included in decision-making—not tokenized.

"Toward a More Inclusive Security Council: Challenges and Opportunities"

27 JANUARY 2025: WIF hosted an important engaging discussion about the future of the UN Security Council, featuring insights from H.E. Mr. Tareq Albanai, Permanent Representative of Kuwait to the UN, H.E. Mr. Alexander Marschik, Permanent Representative of Austria to the UN, and Mr. Richard Gowan, Director of UN and Multilateral Diplomacy at Crisis Group. The panelists tackled why the UN Security Council reform is so urgent, broke down the Intergovernmental Negotiations process, discussed the representation of smaller states and reflected on how the Pact for the Future could inspire real progress toward a more inclusive and effective UN SC.
